Using the Cost Plus / Fixed Fee method allows us to be the small custom home builder that can save you money. You won’t have to compromise the quality of construction materials, workmanship, or floor plan choices to capture those savings. Using the Cost Plus / Fixed Fee method, RVR Builders will insure that you get the benefit of all three important factors.

How do we do it?

We've created a cost plus / fixed fee contract that lets you control your building cost while putting the cost savings in YOUR pocket. We believe that this program will give you the quality custom home of your dreams.

Because we restrict the number of homes that we build each year, we can give you the individualized service you want and deserve during the new custom home building process. We stick with small custom home building because small custom homes, at an affordable price, are hard to find.

Cost plus means you pay all of the cost, plus a fixed fee to RVR Builders, Inc. The “cost plus fixed fee” process lets you pocket any savings realized during the building process. With a fixed fee you know up front what you are paying your builder. The rest of your money goes into the house. You control the costs, we do the work. We use only quality building materials, and top quality subcontractors to assure you of a well built custom home.

The Cost Plus / Fixed Fee Process

The Cost plus / fixed fee process works in this way: we will sit down with you and go thru a detailed specification sheet. This covers all of the details that are needed during the building process and includes generous allowances on items that have not yet been decided on such as cabinets, carpet, and lighting. The specification sheet is then used to generate a cost estimate.

We add a 5% overage on the estimate to allow for anything that has been overlooked in the preplanning process, or anything you might decide you want to upgrade or change later on. If this 5% is not used, it becomes a savings for you. We then add on a fixed fee. Simply put, you pay all of the COSTS of building the house PLUS our FIXED FEE. This method helps you be more informed, puts cost control in your hands, and saves money - making the dream of owning a custom home become a reality.
